Premium printing finishes: what UVI digital enhancement is
Published by Mireia in ImpresiónWhat is the UVI 3D digital enhancement?
One of the things we promised you when we started the new stage of this blog was that we were going to open the doors of Pressing, your favorite digital printing press in Barcelona.
This means that we will not only tell you trends or news that we will introduce in our catalog. I also explain how we work so that you receive the order as you imagined. That is, create our own graphic dictionary in the sense that you’ll understand better what some of our techniques consist of. For us, they are part of our everyday life but it is normal for you to have doubts. If we clarify them for you, it will be easier for you to place the orders and decide how you want your products to be. And if you still want to solve something, we will always be available to you.
Technology and craftsmanship in the same impression
In January of 1997 everything began, with the foundation of Pressing and with the certainty that digital printing would be the future. That has been our added value from the start, because we have always had technological innovation in mind.
However, we still think that in an impression like ours, the craftsmanship is still very present. By craftsmanship, we understand the value of doing things in a personalized way, focusing on the details and giving importance to small things. Craft is love for what we do and giving you everything we’ve got. If that is craftsmanship, this will continue to be Pressing, however much our bet is also the latest technology innovations. Why choose when everything can coexist in the same printing house?
Today we tell you what is one of the most outstanding finishes that you can request in your orders: the UVI 3D Digital Enhancement.
The UVI 3D digital enhancement, one of our most premium printing finishes
UVI varnish is used in printing to achieve a glossy printing finish. For this, ultraviolet lighting is used. In this way, the surface hardens much more and thus can be enhanced with respect to the others.
Being a totally digital process, we do not require films, nor plates, nor screens. First, we send the desing or document directly from the computer and then, it is the machine that applies, with a very high precision, the UVI polymer on the element to be highlighted.
What products with UVI in Digital Relief can we create?
- Cards and business cards: this technique does not depend on size, so it can be used on small surfaces.
- Restaurant menus: if food enters through your eyes, start by designing a unique and exclusive menu.
- Paper bags: because more and more businesses choose them, when they do, they do not hesitate to personalize the design and bet on this technique.
- Invitations: wedding, anniversaries or special dates.
- Packaging: all the products that are part of the packaging elements must be designed in accordance with the brand. With this technique, you can find the line that most fits you.
But also,
- Labels
- Folders
- Journals
- Adhesives
- Envelopes
- Books
- And many more
The results are truly spectacular: you can touch and feel the 3D enhancement, while discovering new sensations that go beyond printing. Different types of UVI enhancement textures can be combined in one print and applied to both sides. We can also combine UVI enhancement and Stamping on the same side.
One of the most important added values of this printing finish is that you can customize your impressions with UVI digital enhancement, something that until now was impossible to achieve with traditional analog techniques. Make the product yours, make it unique.
The filling with UVI 3D digital enhancement increases the quality of the printed product. A glossy printing finish and a 3D touch are achieved on the entire surface or only in the area you wish to highlight. It is as if the product recovered all the vividness and kept it forever.
